Purple Stripe Hardneck Gourmet Variety.  This variety stores very well into the winter.  Is fiery with an initial burst of garlic heat that mellows out as it lingers. There are only a few cloves per bulb but they are large and deep flavoured with an earthy, almost musky flavour that many garlic lovers prize.
